About Mothers In Grief Support Group
Empowering Mothers, Families, and Communities through Compassionate Support.
Our mission is to create a supportive environment within our communities. We strive to shed light on the challenges faced by those dealing with grief, providing a platform for healing and understanding.
Our initiative is dedicated to aiding mothers who have endured the loss of a child to substance-related causes. Recognizing that losing a child is an unparalleled and profound sorrow, we believe in providing a nurturing, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for grieving. In response to the ongoing Fentanyl crisis in our country, we are committed to raising awareness at community events about Fentanyl and Narcan. Additionally, we will distribute Narcan free of charge, aiming to prevent further tragedies.

Pamela Smith | Founder & Executive Director
As the Opioid and Fentanyl epidemic continues to scourge our communities, there are too many lives that are cut short because of tragic overdoses. Pamela Smith, Founder & Executive Director of Mothers In Grief Support Group, lost her son, Jackson at the age of 22, to a Fentanyl poisoning in 2016, and she has since become an advocate in educating the public on the dangers of Fentanyl, in order to effect change.
Mothers In Grief Support Group holds weekly meetings to support mothers who have lost their child to substance use, as well as raise community awareness by conducting Fentanyl and Narcan trainings, along with distributing Narcan for free.
